Amp Module Manages Multiple Cell Bands

Visitors to the ANADIGICS booth (No. 3514) at the 2012 IMS can learn more about the model ALT6181. This multimode, multiband power amplifier (MMPA) module features separate single-ended amplifier chains for GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/LTE/CDMA2000 applications. For GSM and EDGE, the module operates as a fixed-gain amplifier; for LTE and CDMA, several different power modes are available to optimize efficiency. For example, the ALT6181 amplifier module offers a low-power mode for use at 0.5 V. It is based on indium-gallium-phosphide (InGaP) heterojunction-bipolar-transistor (HBT) monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) technology and housed in a surface-mount package measuring just 5.0 x 7.5 x 0.9 mm.

In addition to its lines of LTE amplifiers, the firm will offer a variety of its many component solutions for wireless applications, including amplifiers and amplifier duplexers. Also, ANADIGICS' Director of Product Marketing for Broadband RF Products, Glenn Eswein, will be making a presentation on small-cell wireless infrastructure power amplifiers. The presentation takes place on Wednesday, June 20, 3 p.m., at Richardson RFPD Booth No. 1818.
