The “Poseidon” series of oven-controlled, voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (OCVCXOs) from Bliley Technologies is designed for vibration-prone environments requiring outstanding oscillator phase noise. These sources are available with frequencies from 5 to 130 MHz, with typical acceleration sensitivity of better than 2 x 10-11/g. Suitable for mobile, ground-based, airborne, and shipboard applications, these hermetically sealed oscillators are supplied in rugged nickel-plated machined 6061-T6 aluminum housings with field-replaceable SMA output connectors and EMI feed-through DC pins. They deliver +7 dBm typical output power with -30-dBc typical harmonic levels and -80-dBc typical spurious levels. Phase noise differs between Options A, B, C, and D), with the optimum phase-noise performance for Option A at typically -165 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz from a 10-MHz carrier and -168 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from a 10-MHz carrier. The OCVCXOs are available for operation with a +12- or +15-VDC supply, with power consumption of 7 W at turn-on and 3 W under steady-state conditions.
