Richardson RFPD has debuted its micro-website on gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology from TriQuint Semiconductor: the TriQuint GaN Tech Hub. The site represents a collaboration between the two companies, with information provided about the latest GaN products and technology issues. Also included are simple contacts to professionals at either company, ideal for quick responses to questions about GaN technology and where it might fit in a current application. The micro-website offers the option to sign-up for email product updates and contests for tech gadget giveaways.

David Silvius, Director, Strategic Marketing at Richardson RFPD, explains: “Demand for GaN technology is growing worldwide, and TriQuint is a leader in GaN product innovation from DC to 18 GHz, including discrete transistors, amplifiers and switches. The Tech Hub offers engineers a single location for everything related to TriQuint GaN, including the ability to take advantage of Richardson RFPD's design support services.” In addition to white papers and articles, the site lists a variety of GaN products, including field-effect transistors (FETs), switches, and details about processes available from TriQuint for fabricating custom devices. Among these is a 0.25-μm GaN process that has been in use for more than four years.
