Model SMW200A is an RF/microwave vector signal generator (VSG) that combines a baseband generator, RF/microwave generator, and multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) fading simulator in one box. Available in versions covering frequency ranges from 100 kHz to 3 GHz and 100 kHz to 6 GHz, the high-performance VSG boasts an in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) modulation bandwidth of 160 MHz which is supported by the internal baseband generator. Since some wireless applications require testing with more than two RF/microwave signal sources, the test signal source can be equipped with an optional second RF/microwave signal path to 6 GHz, as well as a maximum of two baseband modules and four fading modules for generation of complex test signals. It is suitable for recreating advanced signal scenarios, including 2x2 MIMO for LTE-Advanced wireless applications and 8x2 MIMO for TD-LTE wireless applications.
