More Info on Pulsar Microwave

Pulsar Microwave Corporation, established in 1987, is a valued supplier of high performance surface mount, plug-in and connectorized components, covering select frequency bands up to 85 GHz. Pulsar is a privately owned company with the design, manufacture, test and inspection controlled from our Clifton, New Jersey facility.

Pulsar focuses primarily on high performance products. Our dedicated team of design, sales and applications engineers strive to maintain a close working relationship with our customers, in an effort to offer optimum electrical performance for each particular application. With these goals in mind, the majority of our products are custom designs. However, these custom products do not carry the usual custom price tags. In most cases, a custom design is simply a modification of one of our existing designs; Pulsar charges little to no extra cost for these efforts. Regardless of quantity, Pulsar's pricing structure for custom parts is the same as the products listed in our catalog.

From our vast experience dealing with the commercial market, Pulsar has a strong understanding of our customer's need for quick design cycles and for supplying samples so they can test and evaluate their new ideas. Therefore, Pulsar has an extremely liberal sample policy. We support our customers with sample units for qualification testing whenever necessary. This policy includes new custom designs as well as catalog products.

Primarily involved with the commercial wireless communications industry (over 95% of our business is commercial), Pulsar has supplied hundreds of thousands of surface mount high intercept point mixers on tape and reel for manufacturers of PCS and Cellular base stations. However, we also cater to customers who do not have potentials quite as large as these. Pulsar is truly a commercial customer design house with high volume production capabilities and experience.
