RF Microtech is a service company developing custom products and smart solutions for industries and system integrators operating in the fields of telecommunications, satcom, aerospace, localization, and manufacturing.
We support our customers during all phases of product development, from feasibility studies, to characterization, custom design, prototyping, and fabrication.
Innovative solutions can be developed in the following areas :
- antennas, phased arrays and beam forming networks
- microwave filters, multiplexers and passive devices
- phase shifters and tunable/reconfigurable devices
- radars and localization systems for civil and military applications
- sensors for real-time control of industrial processes
In addition, RF Microtech pursues R&D in emerging technologies for future advanced microwave applications.
RF Microtech was founded in 2007 as a spin-off of the University of Perugia, gathering the expertise of Professor Sorrentino and PhDs in the field of microwaves and millimetre-waves.Since its foundation, the company has constantly grown both in the number of employees and in terms of turnover.In 2020 RF Microtech has twenty five employees, most of them highly qualified microwave engineers and PhDs.
The company is structured into three Design & Prototyping Units (Antennas and Phased Arrays – Microwave Filters and Passive Components – Microwave Sensors and Systems) and one Production & Test Unit.The company is located in Perugia (Italy). A well equipped laboratory allows for assembling and testing of antennas and microwave components/systems (measurement facilities up to 67 GHz). Low-volume production and manufacturing is also performed in the internal workshop.The company is prime contractor in different European Space Agency projects and actively involved in H2020 program, participating in two RIAs – Research and Innovation Actions – and in the SME Instrument pilot line.
RF Microtech is ISO 9001 certified for Design Development, Prototyping and Production of customized applications in RF and Microwave technology
