Coaxial Amplifier Drives 26 To 40 GHz

July 25, 2013
This compact, broadband amplifier provides high gain from 26 to 40 GHz.

Suitable for satellite-communications (satcom), instrumentation, and electronic-warfare (EW) applications, model JS5-26004000-27-10P is a compact coaxial amplifier with at least 36-dB small-signal gain from 26 to 40 GHz. It maintains ±2.5 dB gain flatness across the frequency range. The amplifier measures just 0.74 x 0.74 x 0.35 in. (18.80 x 18.80 x 8.90 mm) in a hermetic package and is equipped with female field-replaceable Type-K input and output connectors. It achieves maximum noise figure of just 2.7 dB across the frequency range with minimum output power at 1-dB compression of +10 dBm across the frequency range.  The typical input and output VSWR is 2.30:1. The amplifier typically draws 175 mA current from a +15-VDC supply.
