Gain Blocks Drive 30 MHz To 6 GHz

Dec. 19, 2013
A line of gain blocks provides efficient amplification from 30 MHz to 6 GHz.

A four pack of gain blocks in SOT-89 housings developed by Analog Devices is available from Richardson RFPD for applications from 30 MHz to 6 GHz. All four consume 55 mA at +5 VDC and can handle operating temperatures from -40 to +105°C. Model ADL5544 provides 17.4-dB gain with +34.9-dBm output third-order intercept point (OIP3), 2.9-dB noise figure, and +17.6-dBm output power at 1-dB compression. Model ADL5545 offers 24.1-dB gain with +36.4 dBm OIP3, 2.9-dB gain, 2.9-dB noise figure, and +18.1-dBm output power at 1-dB compression. Model ADL5610 achieves 18.4-dB gain, +38.8-dBm OIP3, 2.2-dB noise figure, and +20.4-dBm output power. Model ADL5611 delivers 22.2-dB gain with +40-dBm OIP3, 2.1-dB noise figure, and +21.0-dBm output power.
