OCXOs Vanquish Phase Noise

Oct. 23, 2012
A 10-MHz oven-controlled crystal oscillator OCXO) boasts extremely low phase noise for use as a reference oscillator.

When it comes to low phase noise, few crystal oscillators can match the performance of the model OXO10-1-349 oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) from Synergy Microwave Corp. The 10-MHz source warms up in less than 10 minutes and exhibits phase noise of typically -155 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz from the carrier and -165 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier. The OCXO provides sine-wave output signals with +3 dBm output power and typically better than -30 dBc harmonic levels. For more, click here.
