Among its many signal source products at IMS booth No. 816, Z-Communications will offer details on its new L-band model USSP1325-LF voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). With a frequency range of 1250 to 1400 MHz, the oscillator tunes by means of voltages from +0.5 to +4.5 VDC. It draws only 25 mA current from a +5-VDC supply while achieving typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier. The VCO is supplied in Z-Comm’s standard USSP package, which measures just 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.06 in. for operating temperatures from -40 to +85°C. The oscillator generates typical output power of +3 dBm into a 50-Ohm load with second-harmonic suppression of better than -15 dBc. To learn more, visit the Z-Comm booth in Seattle.
