Wideband LNA Spans 0.5 To 40.0 GHz

July 26, 2013
This broadband amplifier achieves 42-dB typical gain from 0.5 to 40.0 GHz.

Model PEC-42-500M40G-20-12-292MM is a wideband low-noise amplifier (LNA) with frequency range from 0.5 to 40.0 GHz. It achieves typical gain of 42 dB across that frequency range, with typical gain flatness of ±2.5 dB. The broadband LNA offers a noise figure of 5.5 dB at 20 GHz while consuming only 450 mA current from power supplies of +12 to +15 VDC. The amplifier delivers output power at 1-dB compression of +22 dBm from 1 to 18 GHz and +19 dBm from 18 to 40 GHz. It accepts input power levels to +17 dBm and can be used across an operating temperature range of -55 to +85°C. It is supplied in a package measuring 1.37 x 1.0 x 0.6 in. with 2.92-mm male coaxial connectors.
