Hirokazu Hashimoto – President and group CEO

Hirokazu Hashimoto is President and group CEO as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Anritsu Corp. Prior to his appointment in April 2010, he was Chief Financial Officer.

Hashimoto joined Anritsu in 1973 after graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at Nagoya Institute of Technology. He developed expertise in production management and information system development of the Measuring Instrument Division. Hashimoto was promoted to General Manager of the Accounting and Control Department in 1998. He has served on the company’s board of directors since 2002.

Company history: Founded in 1895 as Sekisan-sha, the company was renamed Anritsu Electric Co. Ltd. in 1931. It officially became Anritsu Corp. in 1985. In 1990, Anritsu acquired Wiltron Company, strengthening its position in the microwave/RF marketplace. Anritsu acquired the Danish instrument manufacturer NetTest in 2005 and then established Anritsu A/S in Copenhagen.

Anritsu launched the model 360 vector network analyzer (VNA) more than two decades ago. The Scorpion was the first Vector Network Measurement System.In 1995, Anritsu debuted theSiteMaster cable and antenna analyzers, which enabled handheld wireless field testing. In addition, Anritsu developed both the K- and V-Connectors.
