3.5-GHz Antenna Distributes WiMAX Signals

A 3.5-GHz, dual-slant, 90-deg. sector base-station antenna covers the 3.0-to- 3.8-GHz WiMAX band with gain of 16 dBi. Dubbed the J33016S00-90N, the antenna's dual-slant construction provides polarization diversity by maximal- ratio combining. Such combining eases the impact of multipath interference that often results in poor coverage areas. In addition, the optimized beam shaper and well-controlled sidelobes promise to reduce interference while providing coverage in high-density areas for fixed and mobile access. The antenna provides uniform energy distribution to all users in coverage area.
