Bandstop And Cavity Filters Offer Tunable Center Frequencies

Two series of bandstop and cavity filters offers center frequencies that can be re-adjusted by the user. All filters are tunable over a 7.5% center frequency range with minimal change in bandwidth.

The BRFT bandstop (or band-reject) filters offer a center frequency range from 1 to 6 GHz with a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.5 to 12 (as a percentage of center frequency). Filters are available with two, three, five, seven, or nine sections. They are rated to handle 2 W and present a 50-ohm impedance to a load at their female Type N or SMA connectors. VSWR is 1.5:1 over a range of up to double the center frequency. Operating temperature range is -55 to +85C.

For the CBPT tunable cavity bandpass filters, the center frequency can vary between 2 and 12 GHz with a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.2 to 3 (as a percentage of center frequency). Available in models with from two to 10 sections, the CBPT filters handle up to 15 W. Other specifications are much the same as those for the bandstop filters.
