Krytar Announces 2-To-18-GHz Diode Limiter

Krytar has developed the model KSL2018 broadband PIN-Schottky diode limiter with a wide frequency range of 2 to 18 GHz. Capable of handling 1 W continuous wave (CW) power and as much as 100 W peak power (with a 1-microsecond pulse at 0.1-percent duty cycle), the high-performance diode limiter exhibits insertion loss of 2.5 dB and typical VSWR of 2.20:1. The maximum leakage power is +20 dBm on peaks and +16 dBm CW. The component incorporates an internal DC block with 200-microsecond recovery time and limiting threshold typically above +6 dBm.
