Laird Technologies Acquires Cushcraft

Laird Technologies, already a leading supplier of innovative antenna solutions, announced the acquisition of Cushcraft Corporation, adding to its antenna arsenal. The acquisition is for a reported $89.75 million. Cushcraft's product lines include compact antennas for wireless local area networks (WLANs), radio-frequency-identification (RFID) systems, WiMAX, and in-building wireless applications. According to Martin Rapp, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Laird Technologies, "The combination of the two companies uniquely positions Laird Technologies to grow the combined business in emerging markets of RFID and WiMAX."
