MMIC Amplifier Delivers 6 W Of Saturated Output Power

By balancing two XP1072-BD devices using a Lange coupler network, the XP1073-BD gallium-arsenide (GaAs) monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) amplifier provides a well-matched solution for many Ka-band applications. The XP1073-BD delivers +37-dBm pulsed saturated output power and 22-dB large signal gain. The amplifier covers 34 to 37 GHz while achieving 24 percent power added efficiency (PAE). It is well suited for millimeter-wave military, radar, satellite, and weather applications. Samples and production quantities are available in eight weeks.
