Making news at its booth at this week's MTT-S, Picosecond Pulse Labs introduced their model 5310 phase-matched balun for applications from 4 MHz to 6.5 GHz. With a blazing 10-to-90- perccent rise time of 54 ps, the broadband balun features differential amplitude balance of typically +/-0.1 dB and differential phase balance of typically +/-0.5 deg. The insertion loss is typically 7.6 dB or less from 4 MHz to 6.5 GHz while the return loss is typically 30 dB through 2 GHz. The phase-matched balun is ideal for use with high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
