Quartz Crystals Fit Tight Spots

MMD Components (Monitor +ACY- Quartztek) has produced what they
claim is the smallest quartz crystal available in production
quantities.  Measuring only 2 x 2.5 mm, with a 0.57-mm profile, the
X series surface-mountable crystals can be used in any application
where space is limited and a frequency reference is required. They
are available for frequencies from 16 to 60 MHz with frequency
tolerance/stability rate as high as +ALE-50 PPM/+ALE-100 PPM. The
units are fully RoHS compliant and compatible with lead-free reflow
profiles. They are supplied in a hermetic four-pad ceramic package
and delivered on tape-and-reel packaging for use with automated
assembly equipment.
