Rugged Aluminum Connectors Last For 3000 Cycles

A precision engineered connector series has been designed specifically for military and other harsh-environment applications that require robust performance in a lightweight compact size. The M series couplers, which are rated for 3000 cycles, operate from -55 to +200C. They claim resistance to vibration to 15 G from 10 to 2000 Hz. The connectors can provide 100 G shock resistance for 6 ms. With a one-grip ratchet screw system, they enable quick, secure coupling. An arctic grip makes it easy to manipulate the connectors when wearing gloves or when the connector is located in a difficult-to-reach area. Only one half-turn is required to seat the connector. Twice the coupling force is required to unmate it once seated. The M series connector family is aimed at the designer that requires a MIL-38999 type of connector, but in a much smaller and lightweight package without giving up any of the vibration, radio-frequency interference (RFI), water ingress, or corrosion capabilities. Various models are available including straight-plug and fixed-socket and freesocket types.
