SPDT Switch Controls WiMAX Signals

The model UPG2176T5N single-pole, double-throw switch from NEC, and available from California Eastern Laboratories, is a miniature GaAs MMIC switch with high power handling capability over the 2-to-6-GHz WiMAX bands. It is suitable for operating frequencies of 2.3 to 2.7 GHz, 3.3 to 3.8 GHz, and 5.15 to 5.85 GHz and features insertion loss of 0.55 dB at 2.3 GHz and 0.7 dB at 5.8 GHz. The isolation is 27 dB at 2.7 GHz and 21 dB at 5.8 GHz. The 1-dB compression point occurs with +37 dBm output power and +3 VDC and 0 VDC. The SPDT switch is designed for control voltages of +3 and 0 VDC and is supplied in a six-pin, RoHS-compliant T5N package.
