Model LDU671C is a high-linearity pallet amplifier designed for high-definition-television (HDTV) transmitters. The Class AB amplifier, developed by Italy's Res-Ingenium and offered for sale in the US by Richardson Electronics, provides 650 W peak envelope power (PEP) and 400 W CW power from 470 to 862 MHz with 18 dB minimum gain and 20 dB typical gain. It features 40-percent drain efficiency. The pallet amplifier, which is based on the model MRF6VP3450H LDMOS transistor from Freescale Semiconductor, maintains gain flatness within a typical 1.5-dB window. It is designed for +50-VDC supplies.
