The AWT66xx family of wideband code-division-multiple-access (WCDMA) single-band power amplifiers from ANADIGICS are low-cost amplification solutions for specific wireless bands. Part of the firm's HELP4 line of WCDMA amplifiers, the new family includes the models AWT6621, AWT6622, AWT6624, AWT6625, and AWT6628 power amplifiers for applications requiring low power consumption. The amplifiers provide coverage of WCDMA Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, and 0 in various configurations. According to Marcus Wise, Vice President, Wireless RF Products at ANADIGICS, "Even with the emergence of 4G mobile technology today, we continue to see a tremendous opportunity in WCDMA as the 3G smartphone market continues to expand at an astounding pace.
