Various government agencies rely on signal identification, either in the field or in the lab, for security, law enforcement, and intelligence applications. With the growing complexity of modulated communications signals, working in the field can be difficult to properly capture and identify such signals. Identification and analysis of unknown wireless signals requires a methodical procedure to minimize errors when tracking and isolating signals.
