Conical Inductors Extend To 40 GHz

A line of broadband conical inductors introduced at the recent International Microwave Symposium (IMS) is suitable for applications from 40 MHz to 40 GHz. The unique broadband response of the coil is attributed to its precision winding, wire selection, and coil configuration. The "C" series of conical inductors is available in standard thru-hole, flying lead (self-leaded) and surface mount (SMT) configurations. The rugged inductors can handle power levels to 150 W and are available in tape-and-reel format for automated manufacturing applications. RoHS, leaded, and gold plating terminations are available. The broadband conical inductors address industry design trends requiring higher frequency, higher power, smaller size, and wider bandwidth components. Their 3-in-1 design reduces the number of components, thereby saving precious board space and enhancing performance.
