Connecticut Microwave has announced the availability of their model 490174 7/8-in. EIA coupler. It offers 60-dB coupling, with coupling flatness within 1 dB and VSWR of better than 1.05:1. The coupler delivers better than 20-dB directivity and suffers less than 0.2 dB insertion loss. The coupler, which also provides 1-V DC output and is useful for calibration applications, is rated to handle 10 kW power at 72 MHz. The size, frequency, and power rating can be scaled to meet specific requirements.
