Herley IndustriesHas been awarded a $2.4-million contract by an international defense customer. Herley will provide complex integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) to be used in the ground stations of critical missile-defense systems.

Raytheon Co.Has received additional orders from the US Navy for its Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) satellite-communication terminals. These orders are in addition to the initial award for 22 systems in 2010. They are valued at more than $145 million.

API TechnologiesHas received a $1.3-million order for an IMA to be used in Navy ships, submarines, and shore stations. API's RF Solutions division was awarded the order by an unnamed Fortune 500 defense contractor.

Lockheed MartinHas been awarded $46.8 million in contract options by the US Air Force to modernize 29 long-range surveillance radars. The FPS-117 radars were installed by Lockheed Martin in the early 1980s.

Scalable Network TechnologiesHas been awarded an independent SBIR Phase II contract to develop the MUOS Modeling and Evaluation Environment (M2E2) toolkit. The award from Spawar System Center Pacific is a follow-on to previous Navy SBIR efforts, with an estimated value of $850,000 (with options) over two years.

Tata Teleservices, Ltd.Is replacing its corrugated copper cabling with CommScope's HELIAX FXL smoothwall cable. Tata will utilize the coaxial cable at upcoming rollouts of its base-station sites in India.
