CRO Operates At 5.8 GHz

The model CVCO55CXT-5800-5800 coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO) from Crystek operates at 5800 MHz by means of frequency doubling. It tunes with voltages from 0.5 to 4.5 V and achieves typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier. The oscillator delivers +3 dBm typical output power into a 50-Ohm load and runs on a typical supply of 35 mA and +8 VDC. The pulling and pushing performance are 1 MHz and 3 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonics are typically -30 dBc. The CVCO55CXT-5800-5800 is ideal for use in applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations. The CRO is supplied in an industry-standard 0.5 x 0.5 in. surface-mount package.
