Demodulator Runs 100 To 1000 MHz

The single-chip model ADRF6850 demodulator from Analog Devices includes a 60-dB variable-gain amplifier (VGA) for handling narrowband as well as wideband signals from 100 to 1000 MHz at signal bandwidths to 250 MHz. The device features an input 1-dB compression point of +12 dBm and an input third-order intercept point of +22.5 dBm. It also packs a fractional-N phase-lock loop (PLL) synthesizer with voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and two baseband analog-to-digital-converter (ADC) drivers in an LFCSP housing measuring just 8 x 8 mm.
