Design Tools Target LTE PHY

A line of system-level design and verification products for fourth-generation (4G) Long-Term Evolution (LTE) cellular communications physical layer (PHY) design was announced by Agilent Technologies at the Mobile World Congress 2010 event in Barcelona, Spain. Based on the firm's SystemVue computer-aided-engineering (CAE) software platform, the new tools are consistent with the LTE v.8.9.0 standard. They include the W1715 MIMO Channel Builder for evaluating multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) architectures; W1716 Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) Software for evaluating DPD-based power amplifiers and transceiver integrated circuits (ICs); the W1910/2 LTE Baseband Verification Library Reference Blockset reference library; and the W1912 LTE Baseband Exploration Library, a C++ source code version of the W1910 library.
