FHSS Module Links Machines

Model LT1110 is a ready-to-go module from Laird Technologies that allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to add 915-MHz wireless communications to their products, notably for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. Based on the firm's FlexRF frequency-hopping-spread-spectrum (FHSS) technology, the FCC-certified module supports industrial network architectures in which a server and all clients can communicate with any radio in range by means of addressed or broadcast packets. According to Chris Downey, Laird Technologies Product Manager, Telematics & Wireless M2M, "The LT1110 915-MHz wireless module is an easy-to-use and integrate platform that offers simple wireless communications for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks. It is ideal for the M2M market segment; particularly sensors and handheld data loggers."
