An AWS diplexer has debuted for applications that require a high level of transmit-receive (Tx-Rx) isolation. This component, which comes from Trilithic, features at least 45 dB Tx-Rx isolation with a VSWR to 1.50:1. It is rated for transmit power to 3 W continuous wave (CW). The diplexer covers a temperature range of -20 to +85 C. The mechanical package features SMA connectors on all ports. It is available for UMTS and DCS applications and can accommodate most other communication bands including Ultra Wideband and the LTE and PCS bands. Applications include low-power in-building wireless systems employing bi-directional amplifiers, microcell/picocell base stations, and test platforms for lab and production evaluation systems.
