MOORESTOWN, NJ—Syscom Tech has announced that it has become the first integrated custom electronics manufacturer in the United States to achieve and implement both the IECQ HSPM QC Q80000 (RoHS) and ISO 9001:2000 certifications.

ROGERS, CT—Frances Walsh, safety engineer at Rogers Corp., has received the 2006 Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) Award from the connecticut Valley Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). This award recognizes Walsh for her professional accomplishments in the safety-engineering field and ongoing commitment to environment, health, and safety education, training, mentoring, and stewardship.

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, PA—Carroll D. Davis, section head of analytical chemistry for the Alcoa Technical Center in Alcoa Center, PA, has received the 2006 H.V. Churchill Award from Committee E01 on Analytical Chemistry for Metals, Ores, and Related Materials. The award, named for E01's first chairman and given for meritorious service, recognizes Davis' leadership as chairman of the main E01 committee and chair of three E01 subcommittees.
