Maury Updates Automated Impedance Tuner Software

Maury Microwave announced the release of the updated version of its Automated Tuner System (ATE) software at the recent IEEE Microwave Theory & Techniques Society (MTT-S) annual symposium and exhibition in Atlanta, GA. Version 5.0 of the ATS software offers an improved graphical user interface that will appeal to first-time as well as veteran users. The software also features a new harmonic load-pull method that eliminates the need for multiplexers. The approach, which has been named cascaded harmonic tuning, provides harmonic tuning over an extended VSWR range when implemented with two or more of the company's automated impedance tuners.

The new cascaded harmonic tuning method automatically updates the impedance constellation shown in the Tuner Control GUI with markers showing fundamental- and harmonic-frequency impedance values. ATS 5.00 also boasts an improved sweep plan for noise characterization, a tuner GUI API for direct tuner control, and a total of 10 additional productivity-enhancing tools and functions.
