Passive GaAs Mixer Spans 6 To 26 GHz

Model HMC773LC3B is a passive GaAs monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) mixer from Hittite Microwave Corp. suitable for frequency upconversion and downconversion applications from 6 to 26 GHz. Requiring no external components or matching circuits, the mixer features an intermediate-frequency (IF) bandwidth of DC to 8 GHz and delivers input third-order-intercept (IP3) performance to +22 dBm. The typical conversion loss is only 9 dB. The mixer, which operates with drive levels of +13 dBm, works without DC bias voltage. It is housed in a RoHS-compliant leadless 3 x 3 mm ceramic surface-mount-technology (SMT) package, as well as in die format as model HMC773.
