Peak Sensor Gauges Power To 40 GHz

Model 59340 is a peak power sensor series from Boonton, a Wireless Telecom Group company, which is usable to 40 GHz. It is optimized for the firm's 4500B and 4540 power meters. The sensor series measures power levels from -24 to +20 dBm in peak mode and -34 to +20 dBm in continuous-wave (CW) mode. It has a measurement bandwidth as wide as 35 MHz from 50 MHz through 40 GHz and has rise time of less than 10 ns. The sensors range from 0.5 to 40 GHz in high-bandwidth mode and from 50 MHz to 40 GHz in low-bandwidth mode. All sensors in the family are equipped with a male K connector. According to Wolfgang Damm, Product Management Director of the Wireless Telecom Group, "Not only is this sensor built on the latest technology, it also offers an outstanding value at a very affordable price."
