QUALCOMMDr. Irwin Mark Jacobs will retire from the company's board of directors at the conclusion of his current term. In recognition of his achievements with Qualcomm, the board has conferred upon him the title of Founding Chairman and CEO Emeritus. Jacobs served as Chief Executive Officer from Qualcomm's founding in 1985 to its 20th anniversary in 2005. He also served as Chairman from the company's founding until 2009. Jacobs is currently Chair of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies as well as for the National Academy of Engineering. He has received numerous industry, education, and business accolades.

NUMEREX CORP.Stratton J. Nicolaides, the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Offcer, has been elected to the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) Board of Directors.

CTIATHE WIRELESS ASSOCIATIONKrista Witanowski has been named Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Most recently, Witanowski served as Legal Advisor in the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Media Bureau.

TRILITHICDaniel Dillon has been named Director of Product Marketing for Mobile Systems Applications within the company's Broadband Instruments Division. Dillon joined Trilithic in 2006 as a Technical Writer and was later promoted to Product Coordinator. In addition, Mark Darragh has been named Product Manager for Leakage Systems in the Broadband Instruments Division. Darragh joined the company in 2007 as an Applications Engineer. Finally, John Bush has been appointed Senior Systems Sales Engineer, also within the Broadband Instruments Division. Bush has held numerous technical application-support and sales-engineering roles since joining Trilithic in 2004.

ATW COMPANIESTracy MacNeal has been appointed Corporate Director of Business Development. MacNeal formerly served as Partner and Vice President of Business Development for Praxis Technology, a medical-device company.

GIGA-TRONICSRobert Waldeck has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development for Switching Solutions. Waldeck has held several sales and management roles in the test and measurement industry during the past 15 years. Previously, he worked in the defense and space industry.

GRIDWISE ALLIANCEHas announced seven new and returning members to its board of directors: Kevin Dasso (PG&E), Becky Harrison (Progress Energy), Laura Ipsen (Cisco), Kerrick Johnson (Vermont Electric Power Co.), Chuck McDermott (RockPort Capital Partners), Scott Prochazka (CenterPoint Energy), and Bruce Walker (Modern Energy Insights).

LOCKHEED MARTINChairman and CEO Bob Stevens has been inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame. The ceremony, which was held November 29 in Washington, DC, raised $1.2 million to support Junior Achievement's financial literacy programs for K-12 students in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
