Power Dividers/Combiners Span 500 To 6000 MHz

A pair of 50-ohm reactive power dividers/combiners offers outstanding electrical performance over the extremely wide bandwidth of 500 MHz to 6 GHz. Model 50PD-645 from JFW Industries, Inc., is a two-way divider/combiner while model 50PD-650 is a four-way divider/combiner. The two-way model 50PD-645 features insertion loss of 0.9 dB or less (above the 3-dB power split) from 500 to 6000 MHz with maximum VSWR of 1.50:1. The minimum isolation is 18 dB, with 5 W CW input power-handling capability as a divider and 2 W CW input power-handling capability as a combiner. The two-way component exhibits extremely tight amplitude tracking of 0.35 dB and phase tracking of 5 deg. between signal arms. The four-way model 50PD-650 power divider/combiner maintains insertion loss of 1.8 dB or less (above the 6-dB power split) from 500 to 6000 MHz with maximum VSWR of 1.60:1. It achieves at least 18 dB isolation between ports, with amplitude tracking of 0.6 dB and phase tracking of 6 deg. The four-way divider/combiner handles 5 C CW input power as a divider and 1 W CW input power as a combiner. Both components are designed for operating temperatures from -40 to +85C and equipped with SMA female connectors.
