Seven-Band Antenna Fuels 3G Mobile Coms

The seven-band DATANOVA antenna developed by Antenova has been selected by a leading Korean consumer electronics firm for third-generation (3G) mobile broadband communications and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity in a compact notebook computer. The embedded antenna supports small-footprint, thin electronic designs such as this notebook computer while enabling maximum sensitivity across multiple receive bands. The mobile broadband antennas can cover all or as many of the CDMA/GSM, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, UWB and GPS bands in a single structure.

According to Greg McCray, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Antenova, "Our customer is a global Tier 1 consumer electronics giant and retains that position by offering innovative products with the latest functionality, superior performance and sleek designs. Having met their stringent development, quality and performance requirements, Antenova's seven-band antenna was selected for its slimmest and lightest weight notebook computer with integrated mobile broadband technology."
