Signal Generator Runs On Batteries

Model HMC-T2100B is a portable synthesized signal generator from Hittite Microwave Corp. that operates from 10 MHz to20 GHz on rechargeable batteries. Ideal for in-field testing, the source provides as much as +27 dBm output power with 40-dB output-power control in 0.1-dB steps. Harmonics are -39 dBc or better at 1 GHz while spurious content is -65 dBc or better at 10 GHz. The phase noise is -113 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from a 1-GHz carrier. The signal generator features 10-kHz frequency resolution with frequency switching speed of 300 microseconds. It includes Ethernet, GPIB, and USB interfaces and runs about 4 hours on a battery charge.
