SP4T Switch Aims At High Linearity

Model PE42440 is a single-pole, four-throw reflective RF integrated circuit (RFIC) switch from Peregrine Semiconductor fabricated with the firm's UltraCMOS silicon-on-sapphire (SOS) process technology. Designed for use from 50 MHz to 3 GHz, it is ideal for cellular, ISM, and other industrial applications. It provides 34-dB isolation at 1 GHz, with 0.45-dB insertion loss and 1-dB input compression point of +41.5 dBm across the full frequency range. The input third-order intercept point is +67 dBm. The switch is rated for maximum input power of +33 dBm from 0.5 to 3.0 GHz. It is supplied in a 3 x 3 mm, 16-lead QFN package

According to Mark Schrepferman, Director of the Communications and Industrial Product Line at Peregrine, "We continue to push the limits of our RFIC portfolio, achieving performance with UltraCMOS that cannot be matched with GaAs-based and other SOI devices. No other SP4T RF switch on the market can deliver the broad combination of exceptional features found in this device."
