Designed for the octave from 4 to 8 GHz, model 4034C is a stripline coaxial coupler from Narda Microwave-East, an L-3 Communications company. The 90 hybrid coupler provides 3-dB coupling across the frequency range, with 0.3 dB or less insertion loss and 20 dB or more isolation. It can handle 50 W average power and 5 kW peak power although it only measures 1.00 x 0.50 x 0.36 in. and weighs only 0.6 oz. with female SMA connectors. The VSWR is 1.25:1 or better with amplitude balance between ports of +/-0.6 dB and phase balance of 10. The stripline coupler meets military requirements for shock and vibration and has an operating temperature range of -54 to +105C.
