Model DCO50100-5 is a surface-mount voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Synergy Microwave with tuning range of 500 to 1000 MHz. Using tuning voltages of 0.5 to 15.0 V, the oscillator has tuning sensitivity of 28 to 58 MHz/V with output power of +4 dBm or better and harmonics of -10 dBc. Measuring just 0.3 x 0.3 in. in a surface-mount housing, the VCO exhibits typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and -123 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. The oscillator draws 34 mA maximum current from a +5-VDC supply.
