A line of solid-state switches is available from Planar Monolithics and Amplitech in a variety of configurations from DC through 40 GHz. Switches can be specified in single-pole, single-throw (SPST) through single-pole, 32-throw (SP32T) and double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) configurations. As an example, model P1T-18G40G-90-1515-292FF is an SPST absorptive switch designed for use from 18 to 40 GHz. It measures 2.0 x 1.5 x 0.75 in. with 2.92-mm connectors and achieves greater than 90-dB isolation. The insertion loss is a maximum of 5 dB while the input/output VSWR is 2.0:1. The switching speed ranges from 15 to 25 ns.
