The latest voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Crystek Corp. operates from 2745 to 2860 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5 V. Dubbed the CVCO55CC-2745-2860, this VCO features typical phase noise of -106 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset from the carrier. Output power is typically +4 dBm. The VCO consumes 35 mA maximum current from a +5-VDC supply. Pulling and pushing are minimized to 0.8 MHz and 1.3 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is typically -15 dBc. The model CVCO55CC-2745-2860 is packaged in the industry-standard 0.5-in. x 0.5-in. SMD package.
