A full range of waveguide switches for applications from 7.05 to 40.00 GHz is available in standard waveguide sizes from RLC Electronics. Supplied in both single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) and double-pole/double-throw (DPDT) configurations, the compact waveguide switches employ a proprietary non-contacting actuator mechanism that requires low current. The switches can be specified with a variety of options, including a choice of coil voltages ranging from 5 to 28 V, frequency ranges of 7.05 to 40 GHz in standard waveguide sizes, operating modes of failsafe, latching, manual override, and manual operating modes, TTL drivers, and function indicators. All designs conform to the requirements of MIL-DTL-3928 and offer low insertion loss, high isolation and low VSWR, with switching times as fast as 25 ms.
