YIG Oscillators Tune To 18 GHz

Oct. 29, 2009
A line of YIG-tuned oscillators from Omniyig provides frequency coverage to 18 GHz in four models. The cylindrical oscillators, which measure 1.75 x 1.5 in., operate from 2 to 18 GHz (model YOM3676), 4 to 18 GHz (model YOM3679), 5 to 18 GHz (model ...

A line of YIG-tuned oscillators from Omniyig provides frequency coverage to 18 GHz in four models. The cylindrical oscillators, which measure 1.75 x 1.5 in., operate from 2 to 18 GHz (model YOM3676), 4 to 18 GHz (model YOM3679), 5 to 18 GHz (model YOM3680), and 6 to 18 GHz (model YOM3681). All of the sources provide at least 13 mW output power with output-power variations controlled within a 3-dB window. Second harmonics are -12 dBc while other spurious content is -60 dBc. The phase noise is -90 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and -115 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. The tuning speed is 18 ms.
