Hittite To Make, Market IBM ICs

Hittite Microwave Corp. has announced a license from IBM to manufacture and market silicon millimeter-wave-transceiver integrated-circuits (ICs) developed by IBM. The license also covers certain 57-to-64-GHz IC, package, and antenna technology as well as intellectual property (IP) for designs operating from 71 to 76 GHz and from 81 to 86 GHz. Hittite also entered into a Joint Development Agreement with IBM related to millimeter-wave technology. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
