M/A-COM Expands Linear PA Line

M/A-COM has added a pair of RoHS-compliant power amplifiers (PAs) to its family of heterojunction-bipolar-transistor (HBT) amplifiers. Models MAAPSS0103 and MAAPSS0104 are designed for IEEE 802.16d WiMAX customer premises equipment (CPE) that require high gain and linearity through 3.8 GHz. The former provides 34 dB linear gain from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz with +26 dBm linear output power and error vector magnitude (EVM) of less than 2.5 percent at 5 V. The latter amplifier provides 32 dB linear gain from 3.3 to 3.8 GHz with +26 dBm linear output power and less than 2.5 percent EVM at 5 V. For more information on these linear WiMAX PAs, visit the M/A-COM site at: http://www.macom.com.
