M/A-COM Ships 100-Millionth MELF Diode

M/A-COM Technology Solutions, Inc. announced that it recently shipped its 100 millionth high-power metal electrode leadless face (MELF) PIN diode product. Designed for high-power switch and attenuator applications, the PIN diodes support commercial, industrial, and military applications from 300 kHz to 3 GHz.

According to Michael Napolitano, Product Line Manager, M/A-COM Technology Solutions, "This line of PIN diode products has historically benefited a multitude of industries where field performance up to 1 GHz is a necessity. We're honored to celebrate this milestone and look forward to a continued commitment to developing and supporting state-of-the-art MELF PIN diode components now to 3 GHz for commercial, industrial, and government users." The diodes are supplied in a surface-mount hermetic package with low thermal resistant for excellent power dissipation. The devices feature low distortion versus forward current for low-distortion attenuator applications.
